Why hello there, I’m Ella Bowman

a toy designer who’s never stopped believing in the magic of imagination. I’ve been creating art for years, from murals and portraits to custom commissions, and now I pour all that creativity into designing toys that feel alive, expressive, and full of personality. Moonrose Makers is my cozy creative home, where I get to dream up characters, sculpt tiny friends, and bring imagination into reality.

     My love for toys started in childhood. Littlest Pet Shops, Pokémon, Legos, Barbies, Webkinz, Furbies — you name it, I played it. They shaped how I played, how I connected with people, and how I explored the world around me. Toys were always the spark that kept me and my brother creating stories until sunset. Growing up in my grandma’s daycare only strengthened that love; toys were always the spark that helped kids explore, learn, and express themselves.

     As I got older and worked in babysitting and daycare programs, I saw firsthand how toys help kids express themselves, learn, and dream. One of my favorite memories is sculpting a character on my iPad for my little cousin — watching him light up as his imagination became something real made me realize this is exactly what I want to do.

 

     Since 2020, I’ve worked as a freelance artist, creating murals, portraits, paintings, and custom artwork for clients who appreciate my creativity, reliability, and attention to detail. Now, with my Character Design diploma from VCAD, I focus fully on toy design crafting characters, creatures, and playful designs that inspire imagination for kids and adults alike. I love creating things that make people smile, dream, and feel a little bit of whimsy in their everyday life.
